As it is rightly quoted “Innovation drives the journey of FUTURE”, to deal with sustainable innovative solutions Makers Lab established by Tech Mahindra. The Maker’s Lab is a Tech Mahindra’s Innovation lab. It is responsible for Innovation and Co-Innovation with various customers in Telecom, Healthcare, Retail, and in many more domains. Leading edge technologies such as Robotics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR) are focus area for Makers Lab research and development work. There are wide variety of business issues that Makers lab seeks to address in the near future to increase the efficacy of user experiences and citizen services. The main goal of Tech Mahindra’s Makers Lab is to put forward technological innovation and come up with a common programme where industry and academia can come together to create disruptive solutions to solve real-world problems.
In this context, JNEC moving the step ahead to provide the common space for the students, researchers, and faculty members not only of MGM but also to the entire Marathwada region through Tech Mahindra’s Makers Lab Campus Connect. The main objective of this lab is to upskill the next generation. Focus of JNEC Makers lab is to develop futuristic solutions by leveraging key enabling technologies which includes Robotics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and Internet of Things (IoT). This lab is used to tinker with these disruptive technologies and building the innovative solutions that are pragmatic and effective.
JNEC Makers Lab aims to work on the problems such as Sanksrit Translation, Level – II Autonomous Vehicle, Agriculture Solutions using AI, Passive Network Discovery, Intelligent Chat-bots, Phone-based augmented reality: X-retail, Neuroscience inspired AI, etc. This will lead students to get project-based learning to build innovative solutions mentored by industry experts and faculty researchers. The main motto of JNEC Makers Lab is to build the educational ecosystem which emphasis on inculcation of a multi-disciplinary approach, team-work, project management, effective communication skills amongst students.
Tech Mahindra through this collaboration will join hands with JNEC for conducting joint research work and encourage students to make use of digital transforming technologies in academic projects. Students can also availed opportunities like internships and visits to Tech Mahindra Makers Lab. The faculty members will be benefited through the Faculty Development Programme (FDP), Webinars, current IT trends, and industrial training opportunities. This industry-academia connect makes it possible for JNEC to connect with the network of Makers Lab across the entire globe. This enables JNEC to work, share, and exchange ideas, thoughts, and innovative projects with industry and educational fraternity working at various Makers Labs.
