Civil Engineering Department was established in the year 1983, with a vision to create responsible, multi-dimensional and quality engineers to serve the causes of the society. The department has grown since its establishment from a few specific sub-disciplines to its currently diverse manifestation. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members with specializations in various sub-disciplines of civil engineering.
The department aims to create quality and industry ready engineers imbued with human values, which are able to address the needs of the industry and society. For lifelong learning through rational and scientific approach, the faculty in the department implement a strategy of problem based learning and project based learning especially focused towards innovation, industry and research.
The department has forged various Memoranda of Understandings(MoU) with industry in order to facilitate the exposure to students, and update the knowledge with respect to the current engineering practices. The students are also given ample freedom to engage in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Furthermore, the department also allows the faculty members to engage in consultancy and research projects.
I invite you to join the Civil Engineering Department and explore the wide and diverse world of engineering discipline totally dedicated to serve the causes of the society with sustainable development and with qualities of lifelong learning.
