A Seventeen Days Induction program was conducted in the department for newly admitted first year students. The program was conducted by Mr.Madhuresh Sontakke, Ms. Kanika Chitnavis. The key objective of the program was to get students acquainted with the institution and cultivate human values in them. In this program various activities were conducted for students like sports, craft, creative work, awareness sessions and guest lectures on various technical and non-technical topics.
A Five days Short Faculty development program on Industrial Automation was conducted in Electrical Department. To cope up with the upcoming challenges and to enhance the practical approach of the faculty members this program was introduce. In this program Faculty members get exposed with the simulation software Codesys and hands on training on the PLC. At the end along with the trainer faculty members have design a model of small bottle filling plant and program it.
Technical Representatives from Fluke gave hands on training to all participated faculty members on dedicated power quality monitoring instruments like Power Analyzer, Thermal Imaging Camera, Clamp Meter, Multimeter etc. All the instruments were tested at the Power Distribution board near Electrical Engineering Department.
Alumni Meet was held on 8th November 2019 in the department and 25th January 2020 in college where ALUMNI of the electrical engineering gathered in the department and share their experiences. Prof. B.T.Deshmukh felicitate all alumni and invite them to be part of MGM university in curriculum design and other activities.
Knowledge sharing, industry experience, live project experiences are helpful for students to get employable. Guest lecture/seminar plays vital role for overall grooming of students. Eminient personalities from society guide students for technical, non technical and personal aspects. Students enjoys the session organized by the department. The interactive sessions help students for enhancing the personal, managerial and practical skills.
Industrial visit provides inside view of industries and live projects. It provides practical exposure to the student that how work is carried out in industry?, how practical problems are solved in industry? etc. Student avails this opportunity to interact with industry persona. Department is arranging Industrial visits for students to familiar with industry culture of NRSC-ISRO, Power Generation stations, Transmission Substation, Manufacturing and services and Automation.
The safety measures, insurance, undertaking procedures are followed as per AICTE norms.
